Teaching for Diverse and Inclusive Classrooms 

Reflecting on the topics covered in this course, we are led to believe that educational institutions should personalise their teaching means to meet the needs of students.

It is widely believed that social and emotional development of learners relies on diversity within the learning environment and there is various ways teachers’ could foster diversity to meet the needs of all learners.

One way to personalize instructional methods for diverse learners is through the use of the curriculum, to make sure the learners understand what they are learning and what is being taught to them.

 

Another thing to incorporate into personalizing of instructional methods for diverse students would be through culturally responsive teaching as research have shown this method has many benefits for learners.

 

Further to this, Teachers need direction on how to educate diverse learners. This can be achieved through assisting with planning and preparation of syllabus lessons.  Teachers can be taught to personalize their instructional methods to the students needs.

 

Grouping of diverse learners also play an important role whereby the content, tasks and assignments needs to be adapted for diverse learners. Technology can also be used to further meet their student’s needs.
